The Venator Infantry Fighting Vehicle is a light tank designed to support troops in urban combat. It can engage armored targets, however enemy tanks and vertical tanks can prove too tough of a target for the venator to handle. However, it is armed with a one-time use rocket launcher that can disable most vehicles in a single shot.
Its main armament is the VM-65 Marauder autocannon, a tank gun capable of firing a wide range of ammunition at a cyclic rate of fire of 220 rounds per minute. For less armored and more numerous targets the Venator is also equipped with the top mounted VM-3T0 Machine Gun. Like all standard weapon designs the VM-3T0 fires depleted uranium rounds on a magnetic catapult capable of extreme velocity over mundane ballistic weapons used by private security companies.
The Venator, since its inception, has become a popular vehicle amongst generals due to its much easier maintenance compared to the Spartan or the many vertical tank variations.
