The workhorse of the Draconian Kingdom. Every army across the realm you will find the footmen at the heart and centre. While each clan have their own take on the common soldier it’s the Iron Heart clan that made them famous. The spear wall shield formation of the Iron Guard has won countless battles for the Iron Heart Clan during the early years of the Kingdom. Combined with their advanced smithing techniques it was a surprise to no one that the Iron Hearts were the dominant clan for thousands of generations.
It is a highest honour to join the Iron Guard, the most well funded in the Kingdom. Kobolds from across the Iron Heart Clan put down their plow and pick up a spear in the name of Draekos and his holy sons and daughters. While glory and faith may be all a servant needs to take up arms, the Iron Guard present themselves as a pathway to noble hood. The Iron Heart Clan maintains strict bloodline policies when it comes promotions valuing purity and lineage. This does not mean a lowborn can achieve greatness, in fact, some of the most heroic knights have come from impoverished clans!
