It’s rare to find a kobold that knows how to use an arbalest and even rarer to find one that won’t shoot him or herself in the foot. Enlisted kobolds who show to have an intelligence slightly greater than a bag of hammers are given training to become an arbalest.
The arbalest allows even the lowliest kobold to be a threat to the most noble of knights. The iron heart tipped bolt can pierce the armor of a highborn over a hundred meters away. The sight of a regiment of arbalests about to fire will put the fear of Draekos into them.
